B2B lead generation: a GDPR webinar that reached enterprise banking
A partner-led webinar, persona-built enterprise lists and email journeys we ran end to end put Hazy in front of banks, consultancies and public-sector data teams, before Hazy had its own marketing team.

A new category, a cautious buyer.
Hazy made synthetic data: privacy-safe copies of sensitive datasets, generated by machine learning. Its buyers were data, architecture and security leaders at banks, insurers and telcos: busy, sceptical and bound by regulation. Cold ads weren't going to start those conversations. A credible, useful event could.
The idea
"The GDPR Honeymoon Is Over" (26 May 2022) brought together Ian Stevens and Lili Elenoglou of law firm CMS and Umesh Jetha of Nationwide to talk about GDPR enforcement and what it means for data teams. The topic gave senior buyers a reason to attend that had nothing to do with a sales pitch.
The audience
We built target lists by persona (Chief Data Officer, Chief Architect, Head of Innovation, CISO, Data Protection Officer) across retail banking, financial services and insurance, telcos and automotive. The lists came from LinkedIn Sales Navigator, built by our team together with Hazy's account executive.
The journeys
We designed, wrote and ran every email journey: invitations, reminders and follow-ups, plus a co-branded campaign sent from a partner's own domain. Every list was validated before each send, and deliverability was reported back after it. On the main 3,579-contact list, 877 addresses were stopped before they could damage Hazy's sender reputation. A LinkedIn registration campaign ran alongside the emails.
The result
The morning after, Hazy was already fielding requests for the recording, and it went straight to Danske Bank's team. We produced the recording so it could keep working as a sales asset long after the live session.
“He helped organise our first webinar which was a great success even before we secured an in-house marketing team.”
Connected work, measured together.
